Frequently asked questions
Are the IPMAT mock tests free?
Every crackin mock is free through the beta, and no card is asked for. Separately, every IPMAT past year paper on the site can be sat as a full timed mock for free, permanently and without an account.
What is the difference between a crackin mock and a past year paper?
A past year paper is the real exam as it was set — useful precisely because it is the genuine article, but there is a fixed supply of them and you can only sit each one cold once. A crackin mock is written by us to the same pattern, timing and marking, so you can keep sitting fresh full-length papers after the real ones run out.
How many mocks should I take before IPMAT?
Sit one early, cold, to find your starting point — before you feel ready, because that is the reading you need. After that one every week or two while you are still covering chapters, moving to weekly in the last two months. What matters is the review afterwards: a mock you analysed properly is worth several you only scored.
Are the mocks timed and marked like the real IPMAT?
Yes. Three sections on their own 40-minute clocks, taken in the exam’s order, a section closing when its time runs out, and marking at +4 for a correct answer, −1 for a wrong MCQ and no penalty on the type-in-the-answer questions.
