A past year paper is the real exam as it was set — useful precisely because it is the genuine article, but there is a fixed supply of them and you can only sit each one cold once. A crackin mock is written by us to the same pattern, timing and marking, so you can keep sitting fresh full-length papers after the real ones run out.

Sit one early, cold, to find your starting point — before you feel ready, because that is the reading you need. After that one every week or two while you are still covering chapters, moving to weekly in the last two months. What matters is the review afterwards: a mock you analysed properly is worth several you only scored.
